Prefix Aerospace is headed by Martin Baillargeon. With more than 25 years experience in the aerospace industry, Mr Baillargeon brings his extensive knowledge of the Commercial Aerospace Industry (Airframers, Suppliers, forecasts, new developments, etc), a very broad contact network, in depth sales and contract experience, communication and management skills, knowledge of aircraft systems and certification requirements (FAA, TCA, JAA), and extensive experience in mediation & in leading technical and commercial meetings (virtual and live) to help bring more business to his clients.
Mr Baillargeon has a bachelor’s degreee in electrical engineering with a certificate in aerospace engineering and is fluently bilingual in English & French with good knowledge of Portuguese as well.
Mr Baillargeon created Prefix Aerospace in 2006 and has represented several clients wanting to increase their sales in the Greater Montreal area, such as: Bombardier, Pratt and Whitney Canada, Bell Helicopters, Messier-Dowty, Thales Canada, L-3 Com MAS, Mecaer Canada, CAE, CMC Esterline, Innotech Execaire, Mecachrome, Department of National Defence (Ottawa) and Héroux-Devtek.
Prior to Prefix, Mr Baillargeon held several management and engineering positions in the aerospace industry notably Crane Aerospace as Regional Business Manager (RBM), Intertechnique as North American Customer Liaison Engineer, Bombardier as the Global Express System Integrator and Project Engineer for the Amphibious Aircraft and CF18 project and the Canadian Air Force as Avionics Systems Design Engineer.
Mr Baillargeon is also an accredited member of the Quebec Professional Engineer Association (Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec), (P.Eng #107492) and member of the AQA (Quebec Association of Aerospace companies). He is an accomplished musician and avid sports enthusiast practicing jogging, skiing, swimming, hiking, and cycling.
